Description
Mecca, located in Saudi Arabia, is the holiest city in Islam and a major pilgrimage site for millions of Muslims around the world. Every year, millions of worshipers travel to Mecca to perform the Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, which a Muslim must perform at least once in his or her lifetime, if he or she can afford it.
Points of Interest
The Kaaba: Located at the heart of the Al-Haram Mosque, the Kaaba is a sacred cube made of black stone, considered the house of God. Muslims pray facing the Kaaba, and the Hajj includes several rituals around this monument.
The Al-Haram Mosque: This is the largest mosque in the world, capable of accommodating millions of pilgrims. The complex includes numerous minarets, gardens, and prayer spaces. The view of the mosque illuminated at night is particularly spectacular.

Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah: These sites are essential during the Hajj. In Mina, pilgrims spend the night in tents, in Arafat, they pray and meditate, and in Muzdalifah, they collect pebbles for the stoning ritual.
